Cortijo Care’s Four Stage Programme

The 4 available stages gives you a flexible programme to meet your treatment needs in order to build foundations to discover meaning and purpose in your life. This structure offers an opportunity to those who are struggling with varying levels of life’s experiences, allowing each treatment program to be tailored specifically to each person’s needs. We are a qualified caring and passionate team of professionals, that  comprises of leading psychiatrists, doctors, psychotherapists, counsellors,  family therapists, trainers, and 24hr medical and psychiatric nursing care.  This is all overseen by our Medical Director to ensure we are uniquely prepared to provide tailored treatment packages for every individual, meeting all of our patient´s emotional, psychological and physical needs.

In the first stage of our treatment programme our caring and empathetic psychiatric and medical nurses will provide our clients with 24Hr Medical and Psychiatric support, offering detoxification where required and high risk mental health patient care. Our specialised therapists will assess each individual clients needs to ensure the best possible treatment and provide One on One Therapy Sessions, as required.

In the second stage of Cortijo Care treatment programme our clients will start a more varied treatment programme to include One to One Therapy, Group Therapy, Educational Lectures, Occupational and Development Therapies, Nutrition, Animal Assisted Therapy, Yoga, Meditation and Art Therapy, (please see Our Services/Therapies) along with an introduction to 12-Step programmes if required. Each based around individual treatment programmes working towards self-care and independent living.

In stage three clients are encouraged to live more independently whilst continuing with their own individual treatment programme which will be revised on a weekly basis.  The client will have access to their own kitchen with the ability to prepare their own meals (programme dependent), be able to take time out of the centre, both accompanied and unaccompanied, and dependent on their stage of treatment they will be in a position to go shopping, to attend recovery meetings, to meet family and friends for coffees, etc. This stage of the programme gives the client more person responsibility with the ability to help their peers and to mentor stage 2 clients facilitating them back into the community.

Once our clients have successfully completed their treatment programme, the Cortijo Care team are here to continue offering ongoing support and care. Our Therapists will give each client an individual aftercare treatment plan that will significantly help them manage their day to day living once they have left the daily safety of the treatment centre, giving each client the skills to enable them to remain in long-term recovery. If the client is coming from abroad, Cortijo Care will refer you to a local support system, to ensure that you receive ongoing support and care within your home life.
